I'm a writer from San Francisco. My short works have appeared in Witness, North American Review, Zyzzyva, and The Drift. I received my MFA from the University of Wyoming, and I'm working on a novel based on the years I spent working as a wildland firefighter.

Besides writing, I was a firefighter for nine years. I work now as an engagement producer on KQED's Forum, and teach continuing education to the Unite Here labor union, with the LEAD Project. I am reachable here.
